Membership is valid for one annual year from month of subscription.
Members should notify the EUBG one month before the end of their subscription if they wish
to
terminate their membership. Failure to terminate membership will result in automatic
extension
of membership by period of a year.
Corporate members may appoint one or more (as appropriate to size of company) of its
employees
to represent its company at EUBG meetings
The EUBG operates of the basis of ‘One Member One Vote’
Members of the EUBG are expected to be good corporate citizens and subscribe to the
BRELA Integrity Pledge
All members of the European Business Group are expected to use the platform in a positive
manner and to promote economic growth and not engage in unethical or uncompetitive behavior.
In order to qualify for Corporate Membership your organization is expected to meet following
criteria:
i. Established under the laws of any EU Member State, and/or have a substantial EU shareholder
participation
ii. have a legal presence in Tanzania.
iii. Branches and agencies representing EU/EFTA companies might be eligible for membership on a
case-by-case basis upon Board of Directors approval.
iv. Companieswith exclusive distribution rights for EU/EFTA products in Tanzania and justifying
a
substantial market’s share for a product or service in Tanzania may be eligible for membership
on a
case-by-case basis upon Board of Directors approval.
v. Companies that derive a substantial part of their revenue by providing services to EU/EFTA
businesses may be eligible for membership on a case-by-case basis upon Board of Directors
approval.
Applies to individuals of good standing who are residents in Tanzania and are nationals of a
EU/EFTA
members stateand who are actively involved in business, consultancy, trade, or investment in
Tanzania.
Individual membership is not available for those employed by companies who are applicable for
corporate
membership under the rules described above.
Applies to companies wishing to invest in Tanzania but not yet with physical presence in the
country. On
establishing an office in-country they will be required to upgrade their membership.
Applies to NGOs in good standing which are:
i. established under the laws of any EU Member State, and/or have a substantial EU shareholder
participation
ii. Have a legal presence in Tanzania.
